"Aylburton Memorial Hall (Public)"
For many years prior to lockdown we organised a Carol Service on the Preaching Cross, in conjunction with the Methodist Chapel and St.Mary's. Villagers assembled by the candle lit cross to sing Christmas carols. This lapsed during COVID-19.
Due to road safety concerns we are restarting the tradition, but in the Courtyard. Villagers will assemble in the candle lit courtyard to sing favourite Christmas carols. There will be a brass Band.
When the trustees judge they have performed sufficiently, the multitude repair to the Hall for Mulled Wine and Mince Pies.
There may well be a raffle, and Santa sometimes pops in, schedule permitting.
