Carnival will be on Saturday, 13th July. As usual it will start with the procession through the village and continue on the field with the usual stalls, teas, bar, barbecue, sports and a Fun Dog Show. The floats will leave the Taurus car park at 2pm and the walkers will join them at Millbrook Green. Lady Bledisloe will be judging the entries.

Prizes for the best floats are £200 (The Bledisloe Challenge Cup), £100 and £75 and all other entries will receive £30. There are also prizes for the walking entries.

A new carnival committee will be planning and organising the 2019 Carnival. The committee has  David Adams, Colin and Stella Newman, Brian and Sandra Rickards, John Ridley, Sandra Sargent together with Mark Sargent from the Hall trustees.

Carnival 2018

A few outgoings still to be settled but it looks as if we will have raised just over £5000 this year.
Our small sub-committee works hard during the year and valiantly on the day. We're so grateful to everyone else who helps out and would not be able to function without them. Lady Bledisloe was most efficient in her role as procession judge and for the first time officially opened the Carnival too. The Globe Inn at Alvington joined the Cross Inn and the George in giving generous support. Hopefully we can do it all again next year. Mark

A limited number of trade pitches are available at every Carnival.
